Love your current frame? Keep it. Our specialist glazing lab can fit brand-new lenses — made to your latest prescription — into a frame you already own. Same lab, same Essilor lenses and same careful checking as our new glasses, at a fraction of the cost of replacing the pair.
What we can reglaze
Full-rim frames in good, sound condition — metal or acetate, glasses or sunglasses — including frames you didn't buy from us. Reglazing is a skilled hand process, so we're selective: every frame is inspected by our specialist team before any work begins, and if we believe a frame isn't strong enough to reglaze safely, we'll decline and return it to you untouched, with no charge. We'd rather turn work away than damage a frame you love.
Please read before sending a frame
Pre-worn frames — especially older, vintage, repaired or sun-fatigued ones — can be inherently brittle in ways no inspection can fully rule out. Our lab takes every professional care, but fitting lenses to a used frame carries a small, unavoidable risk of breakage, and that inherent risk stays with you as the frame's owner. If your frame is irreplaceable or sentimental, our honest advice is to choose a new frame instead — we're happy to help you find one with the same character. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights, and we always confirm your quote and get your go-ahead before any work starts.
About branded lenses
We fit Essilor lenses — made by the world's leading lens manufacturer. If your frame currently has frame-branded lenses — a Ray-Ban etching, an Oakley logo — the replacements won't carry that branding: no independent lab's can, as those brands reserve logo-etched lenses for their own complete pairs. Your frame keeps all of its own genuine branding, and your new lenses are Essilor through and through.

The full Total Eyewear range: clear Essilor lenses in four thicknesses (1.5 to 1.74), Transitions®, polarised sun lenses, plus coatings, tints and mirror finishes — all glazed to your exact prescription.
How it works
- Tell us about your frame and prescription via our contact page — model, age and condition. We'll confirm suitability and give you a quote.
- Approve the quote, then post us your frame (or drop it into the practice). We'll email you the moment it arrives.
- Our specialist team inspects it — and only proceeds if it passes. Glazing typically takes a few working days.
- Tracked return delivery back to your door.
Good to know
Your prescription needs to be under two years old (wearer aged 16+). Reglazed lenses are made to your individual specification, so they're exempt from the 14-day cancellation right — faulty-goods rights unaffected.
