Find Your Size

Choosing frames online is easy once you know what the numbers mean. Every frame is described by three measurements in millimetres — together they tell you how a pair will sit on your face. Here's how to read them and find your perfect fit.

Understanding the measurements

You'll usually see three numbers in the size option. Each one refers to a different part of the frame:

52mm
Lens width

The width of each lens, measured straight across.

18mm
Bridge width

The gap between the lenses, where the frame rests on your nose.

135mm
Temple length

The length of the arms that run back to your ears.

As they appear on the frame

52 – 18 – 135

Some frames list only the first two numbers — in that case a standard temple length has been used.

The easiest way to find your size

1

Take a pair of glasses you already own and love the fit of.

2

Look on the inside of one of the arms, or along the bridge — the measurements are printed there in the same 52 – 18 – 135 format.

3

Match those numbers as closely as you can when choosing your new frames. That's your ideal size.

Good to know

Because everything is measured in millimetres, a small difference of a millimetre or two won't usually change the fit — it's all about comfort. If you're between sizes, go with the frame closest to a pair you already wear happily.
